XL Expansion Modules by Unitronics®
More I/Os in less space—at a smaller price.
Unitronics is now releasing a new line of enhanced I/O expansion modules. Based on the same stable platform as the traditional modules, these four new compact devices offer up to 32 digital I/Os per unit, plus 3 additional analogue inputs for maximum I/O capacity and minimized cabinet space.
The new modules incorporate many advantages for machine builders and integrators. Firstly the cost—users can save approximately 10% of their I/O budget and 50% I/O cabinet space in comparison to current solution.
Equipped with detachable plug-in I/O connectors, the XL-IO modules (IO-D16A3-TO16, IO-D16A3-RO16) can be expanded up to 8 times with the use of Unitronics’ EX-A1 expansion adapter, and can be used together with regular Unitronics I/O modules.
However, the XL-EX modules (EX-D16A3-TO16, EX-D16A3-RO8) offer a new concept- no EX-A1 expansion adapter needed. Also equipped with detachable plug-in I/O connectors, the XL- EX modules incorporate the EX-A1 adapter, and are used instead of it. It is an expansion adapter with built in I/O. Being the first link to the PLC, up to 7 XL-IO, or regular I/O modules can be connected to it. Software requirements include U90: V6.1.0, or VisiLogic: 8.0.0
