These boosters work and give you the edge!

This will enable you to get onto the network while on the shop floor.

Care! USB 2.0 connection needed - Older PC's beware!

Wireless technology is littered with technical standards such as 802.11g which means little to the average user.  While wireless technology can be considered a branch of rocket science, the implementation of a wireless network into a modern factory is fraught with black magic and mystic. The reason for this is that if you set up a wireless network in a vacuum it works brilliantly but put some factory walls and cladding and suddenly your wireless connection to your router keeps dropping out.

Push the specifications to one side, the D-Link DWA-142 will help, just by how much is difficult to define but it will help.  Like having your old analogue TV aerial mounted ten feet higher it gives you the edge.  We have tested this unit on XP, Vista and Windows7 and it works.  If you are trying to connect wirelessly to the Internet and have problems with poor connectivity to your own router then this is the product for you.

Installation is stunningly simple, run the driver set up program and follow the on screen instructions.  Sit back and get on with your work. This unit will connect to most existing wireless networks but don't expect the manufacturers claimed increase in speed unless you have an compatible 802.11n router (sorry, dropped back into babble mode for a minute there).  What you will get with an 'ordinary' wireless router is a more stable connection at your normal speed.
